Ex-MEGADETH Guitarist MARTY FRIEDMAN: My New Solo CD Has Enough Guitar Solos For Five Albums
September 3, 2002Former MEGADETH guitarist Marty Friedman says that the reason his guitar playing was seemingly featured less and less on the group's later albums is simply down to the fact that "I felt that the MEGADETH's traditional 'vrs brg cho, vrs brg cho, solo' structure was dated, and I wanted to avoid that and try to do things that were more interesting is a subtler way," claims the axeman. "However, on an un-subtle note, on my new solo album [the forthcoming Music For Speeding], there are enough guitar solos for 5 albums...Why? Because it was time."
